Owners: Chris & Penny Hilbrich
The Dockside Trading Company is the ultimate tale of triumph. It begins with an idea on a napkin, a barrel full of challenges and paves a way to a match made in retail heaven "Escaping in Style!"
Penny, hailing from Oklahoma with a family tree rooted six generations deep in the oil and gas industry, conquered 35 states and the Permian Basin like a true energy mogul. But while she was busy dominating the O&G markets, fate handed her chance meeting with Chris in West Texas.
Chris, a seventh-generation prideful Texan (like there is another kind) with a passion for fishing, golfing, and living the coastal dream. Oh, and he’s the drummer for Bluestown, Dockside’s in-house band, because why not add rockstar to his resume?
Together, these two powerhouses found their sweet spot in Rockport, turning it into their personal paradise. In 2020, they launched The Dockside Trading Co., a boutique that’s equal parts fashion, music, and coastal flair. It’s not just a store—it’s their love letter to life, packed with charm, rhythm, and good vibes. Locals and visitors alike can soak in the magic, shop with style, enhance confidence and maybe even groove to a tune or two.
